After breakfast at Lao Cai you will take a 2:30 hours drive to Can Cau market. Your journey will take you through the mountainous border area between Viet Nam and China. Situated 20 kilometres from Bac Ha, Can Cau is a small but very colorful market.

Night 1: Friday: Escorted by Hanoi Elite Hotel's staff to train station for night train to Lao Cai

Day 1 Saturday : Lao Cai – Can Cau Market – Sa Pa (B/L/D)

Arrive Lao Cai you will meet your local tour guide then enjoy breakfast. After breakfast at Lao Cai you will take a 2:30 hours drive to Can Cau market.  Your journey will take you through the mountainous border area between Viet Nam and China.  Situated 20 kilometres from Bac Ha, Can Cau is a small but very colorful market.  Opening only on Saturdays, it always delivers a very photogenic display of Flower Hmong , Nung and Phu La ethnic costumes.  After spending the morning exploring the market, you will leave for Bac Ha town where you will have lunch.  From Bac Ha you drive downhill (1/2 hour) to start a short walk to Trung Do Village which belongs to the Tay minority. You have the opportunity to visit a traditional Tay house.We then travel by boat through amazing countryside to Bao Nhai Village. Transfer to Sa Pa for overnight in Sa Pa.

Day 2 Sunday : Sa Pa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai (B/L/D)

Depart from Sapa town by car to Lao Chai village, following the road down the hill. Views of the Muong Hoa valley and magnificent surroundings of mountains and rice terrace fields can be seen from this road. Along the road, people from many ethnic groups (H’mong, Zay, and Red Dao) are likely to be met, and there are stalls along the way that serve tea, fruits and sweets. Soon after turning off the main road and taking a local path, we will arrive in the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai, where you will experience the daily life of the villagers.After that, we walk from Lao Chai to Ta Van village, where the Zay hill tribes live. Here you take a rest and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by your local guide in a local house. After lunch you trek up and downhill. Specially you will trek through bamboo forest then relax beside the waterfall. Explore the Red Dao village of Giang Ta Chai where you will also have the chance to see their daily activities. In the afternoon the car will pick you up for the return journey to Sa Pa. Overnight in Sa Pa.

Day 3 Monday :  Sa Pa – Suoi Ho – Ma Tra – Ta Phin – Lao Cai – Ha Noi (B/L/D)

We leave Sa Pa town, trekking to Suoi Ho village to see tea plantations and cardamom gardens. Follow the buffalo trails to visit the hospitable villages of the Black Hmong minority people in Ma Tra. After passing a school and scenic views enroute, a picnic lunch will be served. After lunch we continue our trek to Ta Phin village to visit Red Dao people and handicraft shops.  In the afternoon we will reach the road where your driver is waiting to transport you back to Lao Cai station to catch the night train back to Ha Noi.

Arrive at Hanoi train station around 5:30 AM and picked up by Hanoi Elite Hotel staff
